Parintins
Parintins is a city in the far east of the Amazonas state, Brazil. It is home to about 80,000 people, about 350 miles from Manaus. The city is 200 years old and has rich Indian heritage. Each June, Parintins hosts the famous Boi Bumba Festival, and tens of thousands of visitors pour in for the week long ceremony. Most cruise ships arrive with a show designed to replicate the Boi Bumba festival.
